Our Story

Back in 2005 Whit and Breanna were running an inline speedskating team and received an email to volunteer at a local triathlon in exchange for a donation to the team. The team happily accepted the invitation. During that weekend, they were exposed to many different facets of a triathlon event production including aid stations and registration.  They were hooked! It didn’t matter they were sore and tired from moving hundreds of gallons of liquid replenishments or standing for several hours working registration. They walked away and thought it was fun.

At the time both Breanna and Whit worked in the printing industry. Whit worked as a pressman and Breanna worked as a production artist at a publishing company. Their new goal was to, one day, find a way to make working in events their careers. They began by working more of the local events, which lead to a traveling position for a nationwide series for Whit and a position at US Speedskating for Breanna. After leaving Utah, Whit continued to work in multiple nationwide series including the Color Run and the Dirty Girl Mud Run and Breanna landed a short stint as the National Events Manager at USA Triathlon.

The next logical step was to form their own company so that is what they did. That is when Mangled Momentum was created. Whit and Breanna have worked all sized events on sand, water, snow, dirt and ice and love it.
